The Flowers refers to a group of Rescued kittens that were raised by their mother, Peony. Five were born by her originally, with another kitten younger that the lot being taken in not long later.
The kittens were discovered in a bush the day before Apoinsettia had to drive with family due to a family emergency for three days. Each day, Apoinsettia thought of the newborns back home. Peony was pregnant, and one day Peony appeared much more skinnier than normal, leading Apo to believe she had given birth, leading him to investigate the area for more than an hour. It would be Apo's first newborn kitten rescue, something he had not done before, but was familiar with the mother Peony, although had never taken her inside.
He would take the kittens one by one, protecting their scent, and trapped Peony, bringing all of them back for her to nurse indoors and have the kittens raised around people without needing proper socialization care.
The Flowers were named as a group due to Apoinsettia and his sister ZirconArrows naming the kittens after different flowers or flower affiliated names, due to their mother being named after a flower. Although most of these names would change when Twitch Chat decided to name them, some stayed the same. The original names given to the five kittens were Lilac, Tulip, Primrose (Later named Dolly), Thorn (Later named Jasper), Jasmine (Later named Espresso the Espressor).
Not long after, a newborn kitten that could not be taken care of at a shelter was brought to him, to which Apo was hoping the kitten would blend in with the other kittens to not upset his mother, the kitten turned out to be completely white. This kitten would eventually be named Marshmallow, and was farther behind in age than the other kittens. Peony still took him in, and he grew up to be healthy.
Each and every one of The Flowers have been adopted and rescued, even mother Peony herself, who went on a transport up north. Apoinsettia originally returned her back to her environment after she was spayed due to her hissing at others who weren't him, and didn't want her to be put down or tossed aside, in the hopes that when he was able to get his own place, he could adopt her, but a fellow feeder had found a loving place for her.
