Stargaze
History and Lore
Stargaze became known to the chat as a kitten after their mother, Xanax was found in a mechanic shop having giving birth under a car in late August 2022. Stargaze has siblings Jailbreak, Shadowban, and Union Soup. All were named by Twitch chat through the typical polling method during a livestream from Apo's home, showing the several rescue cats being fostered. The naming was the subject of one YouTube video. The name Stargaze was intended for Shadowban due to the way he looked straight up at Apoinsettia when the kittens were all first introduced to the channel. However, due to a bizarre fixation that channel viewers seem to have over names with "star" in them, the name was still suggested and won the poll although it had no connection to this particular kitten.
Stargaze would seldom appear on the channel as there was a span of several months without any rescue streams due to an outbreak of ringworm among many of the rescued cats.
In April 2023, Stargaze would be taken to be neutered along with Drizzle and Shadowban ahead of plans for them to be taken on transport to Salem, Massechusetts. During the surgery, Stargaze would go into cardiac arrest, but would be revived, intubated and recover. While returning from the hospital, Apoinsettia and the kittens would all be caught in the heavy rains of a flash flood. They would all remain trapped from the flood waters in the road for 7 hours before finally returning home.
Appearance
Stargaze is a black and white cat. He can be differentiated by having more white on the face between the eyes than the other black, Jailbreak. Union Soup and Shadowban are both predominantly grey.
