Stardust

From Apoinsettia

History and Lore

Stardust was a well known cat on the channel, being a fan-favorite to some, and was rarely seen without his counterpart Oliver within The Loop Subcolony. The subcolony originally had been named Stardust and Oliver's subcolony, but this name has since been changed to make room for the other cats that have been sighted in this subcolony.

Sadly, Stardust succumbed to complications likely resulting from being struck by an automobile after Apoinsettia found him injured during a stream in March 2022.

Personality

Stardust was a counter to Oliver's personality, where Stardust kept to himself much more. He did not like to be pet, even going as far to slap Apoinsettia's hand when extended in a non aggressive way similar to Blue Moon but with less force. With these signs being presented, Apo then respected Stardust's privacy. Stardust not being an overly friendly and affectionate cat was surprising not just because Oliver is one of the most friendly cats on the channel, but because Stardust was able to trust Apoinsettia to an above average level for a stray cat, approaching him, meowing, sniffing his hand, and even showing friendly signs such as a raised tail.

Stardust and Oliver were very sweet with each other and only interact with each other in the Loop subcolony, rarely seen interacting with any other cat. Stardust and Oliver were practically inseparable.

Appearance

Stardust had eyes wider apart than Oliver, and had more noticeable differences such as a White and Grey coloring on their body. Being a considerably obese kitty, this led to viewers insisting he was pregnant upon his initial debut, only to find out later he was a male.

This large size and stomach Twitch viewers took note of could be attributed to the fact Stardust had had a mass in his stomach for a lot of his life, as he was trapped and taken to the vet by the team of feeders there. The mass did not appear to be harmful and was noticeable on his right side.

Relations

  • Stardust and Oliver clearly enjoyed each other's presence, always acting affectionately toward each other.
  • Stardust tolerated Grumpy Face Kitty
  • Stardust and Cloud did not like each other whatsoever.

Theories

  • Stardust and Oliver have been heavily theorized by many to be related. They had little in common appearance wise, but this is common in cats for siblings to appear vastly different. This is further supported by them sharing white streaks.
  • Stardust and Cloud have also been theorized to be related due to their very similar grey and white color patterns.
