During the particularly fecund kitten season of 2022, Sol was in an animal shelter in the next county. Having just given birth to a litter, in crowded conditions and riddled with fleas, Apoinsettia took mother and the full litter in. They would all be named by Twitch chat with a cosmic theme: Comet, Equinox, Solar Flare, and Pluto. Sadly, Pluto, clearly the runt of the litter, would succumb to Fading Kitten Syndrome.
Taking Sol and her kittens in, Apo would care for her and the kittens alongside several others including Tiramisu and her kittens; Barista and her litter; bothers Omen and Ice Cream Sandwich; siblings Gandalf, Barcode, and Agave; and Magic Mike.
