Smudge
History and Lore
Smudge has been a long term resident of The Trucks Subcolony of the Alley. Initially, when first introduced, Apoinsettia could see little difference between Smudge and Lipstick who appeared similar. Over time very noticeable differences and personalities divided the two. Whether they're related has never been discovered. Smudge has since been more active on the channel as they have gotten use to Apo but doesn't appear to be as friendly. He still remains skeptical. His origin and where he spends most of his time is unknown as he seemingly just appears out of nowhere.
Personality
Smudge, despite knowing Apo and Twitch Chat for a while, is quite shy. At times he can be skittish, as if he wouldn't mind being pet and can actually sniff Apo's finger to know him, but other times he doesn't care to be approached or interacted with. Most times Smudge is seen on stream is when the camera is left out, and is hard to get on Youtube or Tiktok content. Regardless, he is a fun and notable cat that is considered a pleasure to capture content of. He is known to meow on occasion and is one of the first cats seen at the colony before he takes cover.
Appearance
Smudge is believed to be an older man, due to his physique. Some older cats can have skinnier frames and ridges on their back, which can also hint at other things. He has been described as older by the Alley Feeder as well. He was named due to his grey face markings, almost like smudges. Despite his possible older age, he is still quick and attentive, as most strays have to been in order to thrive in an outdoor environment.
