Omen
History & Lore
Omen was one of a litter of kittens that were happened upon by chance in an area at the The Treeline Colony on May 9, 2022, appearing from a fenced parking area alongside a drainage ditch.
Although intending to trap and rescue the kittens in the area, several previously unknown cats emerged. Apo attempted to drive the adult cats away with catnip, yet it only seemed to draw out even more adults while the kittens, including Omen eluded capture. Omen was even seen entering the trap completely without it being set off. Inevitably, Boo, the presumed mother of Omen and the other kittens, entered the trap and was caught in their place. This marked the first time a cat had been trapped live on stream.
Omen along with his sibling Ice Cream Sandwich were later captured, taken in, and fostered by Apo. The other kittens were trapped by another community rescue. Ice Cream Sandwich quickly would find a home while Omen remained with the other fostered cats at the time: Sol and her litter, Barista and her litter, Agave, Barcode, Gandalf, and Magic Mike.
Appearance
Omen is an all black cat.
Personality
Somewhat skittish at first, with ample socialization, Omen has opened up and become a much friendlier cat showing more affection toward humans. He clearly enjoys being pet, although is not comfortable being picked up.
Omen has shown an eagerness to interact and bond with the other fostered cats, but is still standoffish with other cats and does not interact or play with them much, preferring to keep to himself.
