Missile Launcher
History and Lore
Missile Launcher was an important member of the Apoinsettia channel, as she became not only the first cat to be fed in The Alley Colony as a whole, with all it's surrounding subcolonies and cats, but became the first cat to be pet, and considered a friend.
Missile Launcher had been a resident of The Trucks Subcolony for a long time, and appeared to be in an older age. She was not always friendly with Apoinsettia but instead the Alley Feeder. This led to some hope that Apo would gain Missile Launcher's trust one day. In time, and a lot of cat food in-between, Missile Launcher began to open up and would be known for her lovely personality.
Missile Launcher would not be present for a handful of streams, to which the Alley Feeder would approach and share that she wanted to have Missile Launcher spend time indoors with her to live out her older days in a safe, loving environment. Missile Launcher would be taken in and checked up by a vet office that specializes with strays, to which Missile Launcher escaped and was frightened. She had gotten her leg stuck in the door, and her reaction led to her being hurt. The Alley Feeder could not afford surgery for her leg, and wanted to save up money to further treat her, and instead took the painkillers to assist her. It would not be long after that the county would be involved and take Missile Launcher, who was known as Sophie to her, to be euthanized.
Although it stays as a fruitful reminder that taken in strays would be a further harmful solution to the stray cat problem, the Alley Feeder has maintained that the vet clinic has messed up the care of her cat. Apoinsettia knows a former employee of the vet clinic that had been absent the day, but heard stories of the incident involving a longhair tabby that had gotten loose and injured.
Missile Launcher, although no longer with the channel, will be remembered as a friend and a cat that will be one of the first to give out affection in their outdoor environment, and will be missed.
Personality
Missile Launcher was believed to be old, which factored into her personality. In her early days she did not run away, and simply walked to a more comfortable position if she felt uncomfortable with the new feeder Apo. Not long after she would be known as affectionate interactive, and friendly. She would often watch the other cats eat alongside Apoinsettia, and was known to give out constant meows and chirps when she was happy.
Appearance
Missile Launcher was a small and skinny tabby with long fur. She had large eyes, and had a heavy brown texture to her coloring.
