Indigo
History and Lore
Indigo was originally a cat seen at the Backlot Subcolony who preferred to be in the background until she began to open up to Apoinsettia. In this behavioral transition, she began allowing herself to be pet rather than hanging out on the sidelines. She would become recognized as one of the most beautiful cats on the channel due to her long fur and Russian Blue coloring.
She is the mother to Esperanza and Jinx, including another unnamed Russian Blue that has never been seen before on stream. She was believed to be dropped off by the local feeders and be very young when she gave birth to her lot, being only a year or two older than her kittens.
Personality
Indigo overcame being a skittish cat by slowly opening up to Apoinsettia over the course of several streams. Initially, when she was able to be pet for the first time, Apoinsettia and Twitch Chat celebrated. Since her opening up, she has become significantly more confident and approachable and even enjoys time spent with Apoinsettia as evident by her purring and tail standing straight up when being greeted.
Like many of the cats in the Backlot, Indigo enjoys the effects of catnip.
Appearance
Indigo is not a particularly large cat, but hides her skinny and small physique with her large, fluffy coat of fur. She is considered a longhair, a trait that did not pass to either of her named children. However, her children share the deep, yellow eyes that Indigo is known for.

Relations
- Indigo is kind and attentive to both Esperanza and Jinx, her children.
- Indigo does not like Calliope, going as far as to hiss at her.
- Lockheed Martin X-59 QueSST does not like Indigo, but he feels this way about every cat.
