Imitation Crab Meat is a cat at the The Hideaway Subcolony. He tends to be a bit more elusive than most of the cats at this location, earning him the rare status. He is an unneutered male and believed to potentially be the father of several of the cats at this location.
He was named in a Twitch chat poll in early March 2023. The name was suggested by Apoinsettia, having come up as a name recommended some time earlier in a poll for another, garnering a big reaction from the streamer himself. The name would prove to be the winning choice over Dude Where's My Car.
Personality
Imitation Crab Meat is a shy cat. He evades human reaction, retreating when approached. He doesn't appear often on the stream due to this unless food is left, with Apoinsettia moving to a distance and all other cats having eaten their fill.
Appearance
Imitation Crab Meat is a grey tabby with white. His tabby markings are primarily around the top and sides of his head, with a primarily white face. He also has tabby markings on his back with the rest largely white. Being an unneutered male, it is likely that he has gotten into scuffles in pursuit of territory and mates. He wears plenty of scars on his snout that may attest to this. Although this could also be the result of sensitivity to mosquitos similar to what is observed in Blackberry who also lives in the colony. He also has notably large ears.
