Gator was the second tabby to be named at the Downhill 2 Subcolony. Making channel history, the Twitch chat poll to name them was halted; instead, the naming was carried out by the first ever redeemed "Name-A-Cat Coupon", an honor informally given to prominent supporters of the channel. It was autograph2020 and Catloverme123 providing "Gator" to memorialize the name and honor their beloved pet.
Gator is one among several tabbies that are nearly identical located at the second portion of the Downhill Subscolony at The Treeline. The several tabbies are so similar in appearance that during and following the naming, there has been inconclusive speculation that Gator and Stoners are the same cat. However, Apoinsettia asserts that they are different individuals.
