Gary Old Man
History and Lore
Gary Old Man was known to the channel as somewhat of a background character for quite some time. He is known to make appearances on a fairly regular basis at the Straightaway Subcolony, but tends to not linger much. He'll emerge, scarf down some food and be on his way - strictly business. He seems to be somewhat of an elder of the location and has always seemed to have chronic congestion and respiratory issues - a significant amount of sniffles are commonly picked up on the ASMR mic while feeding.
Initially, he was known unofficially as "Gristle", but the attempt to solidify a formal name evaded the channel as his window of appearance was often too short and elusive to have him on camera long enough for a poll. Eventually in January 2023, a Twitch chat poll was conducted. Among the names being suggested, moderator Peppperjam uncharacteristically suggested a pun name based on the actor Gary Oldman, which proved to be the favorite.
Personality
Gary Old Man seems like an aloof older gent. He keeps his distance when approached, not being particularly friendly and will move his way in for a meal when he's ready. He doesn't seem to have any particular enemies among other cats. Petunia has been seen showing signs of affection toward Gary.
Appearance
Gary Old Man has a fair build, and predominantly grey fur with some white markings. He can be distinguished from the other commonly seen grey and white cat in the colony, Root Beer, by having more matted and less sleek fur as well as more asymmetrical white markings on his face.
