Crabcake
History and Lore
Crabcake would be the third of the three kittens that would be found in the The Bushes Subcolony in a Twitch Stream. She would be one of the original four kittens that would emerge from behind the fence where her mother was seen. Although Simba and HP Envy 3060 would be trapped in the same day, Apoinsettia would drive back to the colony late for the remaining two kittens. Crabcake would be trapped, leaving the black kitten to not be seen for months after.
The naming process for Crabcake was not from Twitch chat, instead Apo reached out to Onlyfans models and asked for them to provide names. The story was the subject of a dedicated YouTube video.
Crabcake was named by model badassnugget with little context or explanation of her reasons behind the name.
Despite being offered a home, the initial adopter returned Crabcake due to allergies. Crabcake would later find a permanent home.
Appearance
Crabcake would be listed as a Russian Blue coloring, being the second to be rescued on the channel after Alexei Vladevich. Apoinsettia had stated that this would be his first real socialization with a Russian Blue, and that his sister ZirconArrows had fostered Alexei before, leaving some to argue this is Apo's first real Russian Blue rescue.
She is a fair sized cat with yellow eyes. She has been described as having her tail shape itself like a Christmas tree when she's happy and purring, per Apo.
Personality
Crabcake would originally be the most feral and aggressive kitten out of the three in their socialization process, to which Apo attributed to her being the last to be trapped. After a while, Crabcake would begin to show her true self.
Crabcake is quite skittish and jumpy, often ready to run and prefers to hide in new environments or if anyone enters her presence. After she settles, she is known to be quite affectionate, even going as far to lick faces. Apo has shared that Crabcake has licked his nose a few times, which he had never seen rescues do. She purrs loudly, and chirps on occasion.
