Comet
History & Lore
Comet is a cat that became known as part of a litter of kittens taken in from an animal shelter along with their mother, Sol, during the kitten season of 2022. Twitch chat named all of the kittens and mother with a cosmic theme with the name Comet being suggested by AquariusJumpNode. Comet's siblings would be called Equinox, Solar Flare, and Pluto. Apo would fall in love with her colors, and she would be known as the first calico/torbie kitten on the channel. She would be bathed the same day she was born due to an excessive amount of fleas discovered on the kittens.
At about 10 months old, in January 2023, in the first ever long distance adoption, Comet was flown from Florida to Massachusetts by CobaltCastaway to be adopted by channel moderator kalleighxox.
Personality
Comet would grow to be the most playful, and energetic kitten out of the family. As a kitten, she was known to climb up and leap all over the cage in an acrobatic fashion. Additionally, she would be the most affectionate. From an early stage she showed a preference to climb and perch on Apoinsettia's shoulders, an affectionate clinginess that has persisted. She also would be one of the more vocal kittens, often meowing at high decibels.
Appearance
Comet is a calico whose colors are often contested, being argued as a torbie. Both colors are accurate, even though she displays more calico than tortoiseshell, but does display traditional tabby markings, with stripes under her multicolor fur, but still displays more white on her body.
