CatGPT was a pregnant medium hair tabby stray among the cats who were well cared for by a business owner, Mike, at part of The Roundabout Colony. Apoinsettia intervened to trap her on a stream in early March 2023 in order to have the newborns taken into the rescue and have CatGPT spayed. Shortly thereafter, coincidentally March 8 which is National Women's Day, she would give birth to 5 kittens. Several of the neonatal kittens would develop eye infections. In spite of close watch and care, two of them would succumb to complications, but three would survive and thrive: two brown tabbies Parsley (male), Morsel (female), and Tinsel the female silver tabby. Mom, named CatGPT, will be spayed and returned to the colony to be a regular on the channel.
The naming was held by Twitch poll with the name being suggested by moderator Peppperjam. The name seemed to have struck a chord with a contingent of futurists among the channel viewers.
CatGPT will be returned to her colony at the Roundabout as part of the TNR program. Her feral nature does not make her a good candidate to be homed and she has struggled in adapting to indoors for the duration of weaning and raising her litter of kittens.
