Calliope
History and Lore
Calliope is the only known calico cat in The Backlot Subcolony. Since making her first initial appearance on the channel, she has been generally human-friendly every stream since, but is renowned for her temperamental nature. She is commonly present on the stream at this location and when she takes notice of Apoinsettia, is usually one of the first to run over to greet him. However, she quickly becomes annoyed when other cats come in close proximity.
She has gained a reputation due to her extensive personality and love of catnip. She is one of the most catnip affected cats on the channel and her constant vocal cues and unhappy attitude has Apoinsettia describing her as "One of the most unique cats on the channel."
An individual in the area reportedly had tried to routinely pick up Calliope, but this was never successful and this was never witnessed on the channel. Apoinsettia thinks this event is funny due to Calliope being one of the most volatile and dangerous cats to handle in the colony.
Personality
Calliope is one of the most interesting cats not only in the Treeline, but in all the channel. She is a very vocal cat, often meowing, chirping, and frequently purring at unprompted intervals. She can also turn aggressive very quickly and unpredictably, but as of recently seems to do so primarily directed at other cats that are present.
Calliope does not react well with other cats and seems to be a loner in the Backlot with no friends. She gives many warning signals to all the cats nearby and can be heard growling frequently and even hissing. This could be due to Lockheed Martin X-59 QueSST's aggressive behavior to her and the surrounding cats, but Calliope has been seen acting antagonistic to cats that seem to have friendly dispositions with other cats. There are times where she can eat with other cats, but isn't as common as her eating alone.
Appearance
Calliope is a calico cat, having a tabby pattern in her grey marks and slick white fur with freckles of orange. With her being the only cat with calico coloring in the Backlot, she's very easy to recognize.

Relations
Sadly, Calliope seems to have negative relations with every cat in the subcolony, but here are the specifics.
- Calliope has been seen hissing at Indigo, who returned the same manners.
- Calliope does not like Buttery Boi, but commonly encounters him due to their shared love of catnip. She routinely frightens him off.
- Calliope will even hiss directly at Apoinsettia.
