Blaze
History and Lore
A relatively new addition to the cats on the stream, seemingly one day out of nowhere a large orange tabby appeared at the Straightaway Subcolony. It was somewhat peculiar to see a new face in a frequented location with all cats well documented and familiar to the channel. After making regular appearances for about three straight streams at the subcolony, while Blaze wasn't the most interactive and lively personality, it became clear eventually that he was friendly. He allowed Apo to approach with food, get quite close and subsequently pet him. He then proved to be quite playful, enjoying catnip and a kicker toy.
The same stream in which he was found to be friendly, it was decided to create a poll to name him. Ultimately, the name Blaze was chosen, a name suggestion from moderator kalleighxox, yet not without controversy. In the first ever repoll, which was redeemed by Ohnoitsharmony with channel points, a repoll was called and yet Blaze won squarely for a second time in a row.
Blaze is confirmed to be a drop off, in which a cat that was once a house cat is left outside and abandoned. Many hints of Blaze presented him as a drop off, such as his sudden and constant appearance in an established colony or his ear not being notched despite being neutered and him being friendly. The confirmation would come when Apoinsettia used a microchip scanner to discover he had been chipped. The number yielded no results.
Personality
Blaze is a renown cat who quickly climbed the ranks of fan approval, primarily due to his casual personality. Blaze is a calm, very trusting cat who often goes the direction Apoinsettia goes. This often leads to Apo watching the cats eat food with Blaze sitting by his side. Blaze is also a playful cat, one of the few cats on the channel that plays with the feather toy and is very interactive with it. He can be winded fast after playtime however.
Blaze is also unique in the fact that he not only climbs into the trunk of food of his own accord but can climb to the top of the car and the hood.
Appearance
Blaze is an orange tabby with white on his face and underside. He is quite a large cat. It is possible he is even larger than Wizard Kitty and may rival Peaches, his large, ginger predecessor.
