Baby Stanley
History and Lore
In the early Autumn of 2022, The Hideaway Subcolony had the surprise appearance of several new kittens that appeared to be about 4 months old. Among them was one grey tabby who bore a resemblance to Stanley. Stanley, being neutered (as were all of the cats known to this area), surely was not the father. It has remained a mystery as to whether Baby Stanley and the others were drop-offs or if they had been born nearby.
Bearing the resemblance to Stanley, Twitch chat decided to name the cat Baby Stanley in a poll that was heavily influenced by Apoinsettia, much to the chagrin of moderators PositiveKern and PeppperJam, both of whom advocated for the "Streetcar Named Desire" derived companion name, Stella. They have vowed to continue to refer to her under the name Stella.
In early November 2022, Baby Stanley was noticeably round and clearly looked to be pregnant while still being quite small and likely no more than six months old. Knowing that cats are typically able to begin breeding as early as five to six months, it was a disappointing surprise in the overarching effort to help curb the stray population. However, one week later, Baby Stanley along with the other newer kitten arrivals at The Hideaway had notched ears, having been TNRed along with Baby Stanley's alleged pregnancy presumably terminated in the process. This turn of events was overshadowed by one remaining kitten that clearly was unnotched, limping with a hind leg injury causing the stream to be ended early so Apoinsettia could trap and intervene to get the kitten medical attention.
Personality
Baby Stanley would be considered friendly in other colonies, just barely being able to be pet and interacted with, but falls in the shadow of the many other friendly personalities that the colony has to offer. She will tolerate pets while she is distracted and eating, but will tend to shy away in other scenarios. She seems to have no conflict with the other cats in the colony, but occasionally is the victim of a slap from other cats, predominantly Stanley to which ironically, she is named after.
Appearance
Baby Stanley is a grey tabby with a considerable amount of white on her underside, similar to the namesake elder Stanley.
