Alexei Vladevich
History and Lore
Alexei is a cat that has a large amount of buildup and lore to him, that he doesn't even know about. His legacy dates back to his mother Bella, who comes from The Fence Subcolony where she became pregnant and was later taken in by Apoinsettia before Bella could give birth, where she did in the comfort of the indoors. Bella became the first cat to ever give birth indoors on the channel. Alexei was the first cat to emerge. This group of kittens would be the The Twilight Saga kittens, due to their mothers name.
The father of Alexei Vladevich is unknown, but is presumed to be a longhair white and black cat that is male and is known to frequent the area late at night, and doesn't care to observe and runs from Apo. This is due to one of Alexei's sister, Vera, having a similar coloring, but never inherited the longhair trait, as did none of the other Twilight Saga kittens. Some have gone on to theorize that Alexei could be the son of one of his lost Russian Blue companions Vlad and Mikhail, but this is unconfirmed due to the timing. Bella was more than likely related to Vlad and Mikhail due to all the Newcomers arriving on the same day, leading her to have a blue colored genetic kitten.
Alexei is a follower of Vlad due to his blue coloring and Russian namesake, and is the youngest current member.
Alexei was the first to be adopted to a loving family of an old couple, who were ecstatic to have him. To some, including Apoinsettia, Alexei represented a legacy for the other blue cats that never made it out of the Alley, making his adoption much more impactful.
Personality
Alexei was a contrast from his other siblings, Vera and Team Jacob who were both known to be playful and overwhelming, even causing their mother Bella to hide from them. Alexei often felt comfortable hiding with Bella, with the others played. He was the most shy and skittish cat, and needed additional socializing, only to learn this was his personality as he would open up to repeat the same behavior. He was never antisocial, but just a skeptic about everything.
Appearance
Alexei, as previously mentioned, is a Russian Blue colored cat. Although Russian Blue is a breed that not every cat labeled Russian Blue is, they all mimic a similar coloring that is not common in cats. This, mixed with his Russian name, has lead him into the Vladism group, a meme collective in Twitch Chat led by PositiveKern to spread the good faith of Vlad throughout multiple colonies.
